Fact or Fiction? The $166 Billion Tariff Refund
It is the kind of number that makes you stop scrolling. It is also the kind of number that makes you wonder whether someone accidentally added a few zeros. But the $166 billion tariff-refund story is very real—or, at least, the obligation behind it is. What remains less certain is how quickly, cleanly and completely all of that money will actually find its way back to the businesses that paid it.
